Finally you can do what you expect if you own Galaxy Tab , or we can as I did long ago with the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream). On the Internet, I’ve found some information that only you can do that for the Epic and a video on YouTube so I armed myself with paper and memory and to take various steps and stilarvi a detailed guide here it is:

Abstract: This guide was written by me, however I do not assume any liability for your Galaxy Tab was broken in some way, even if, as you see in the picture above I tested it on me personally.

Guide

a) Enable root permissions is very simple, a little less to install busybox, as we see, download the following file: Busybox 1.17.2

b) Unzip the zip, put the files into the busybox and the Android SDK tools folder connects the Galaxy Tab by USB (USB applications by enabling the Debug-> development)

c) Open a command prompt and posizioniamoci in the tools with the path and type:
adb shell
on (allow the tablet)
mount-o rw, remount-t yaffs2 / dev/block/mtdblock3 / system
exit
adb push busybox / data / local
adb shell
cd / data / local
busybox chmod 755
/ data / local / busybox cp / data / local / busybox / system / xbin / busybox
cd / system / xbin
chmod 755 busybox
. / busybox-install-s / system / xbin
rm / data / local / busybox

d) Now that we have busybox installed proceed with the guide, download the file and put Ubuntu inside of your SDcard Galaxy Tab inside a folder called ubuntu

e) We can now remove the sd and open the terminal emulator, type:
on
cd / sdcard / ubuntu
sh. / ubuntu.sh
bootlinux
rm-rf / tmp / * .X
export USER = root
vncserver-geometry 1280 × 800

f) After that we go and we androidVNC application data:
Alias: root
